Who is the workshop intended for?

The training program “How to get a healthy sleep” is intended for managers and all others who encounter different sleep problems insomnia and who want to learn how to deal more successfully with the problems or challenges that sleep disorders bring.

 

Training objectives

The goal of the training program 'How to have a healthy sleep' are: awareness of the importance of sleep, awareness of the consequences that (lack of) sleep has on the work environment (immediately, teams, the entire business...), possible solutions, and what to do if/when there is a problem.

    • Introduction to the topic, some consequences of lack of sleep, fatal consequences of not sleeping
    • The importance of sleep in a business context (reduction of key working abilities, drop in productivity, economic cost at the company level and globally)
    • Sleep rhythm (circadian rhythm, adenosine signal/sleep pressure)
    • Jet lag
    • The need for sleep and caffeine
    • Am I getting enough sleep? (quick self-assessment test)

    • Basics about sleep architecture (NREM and REM sleep)
    • The importance of understanding sleep architecture

    • How non-medical professional support and practice can help with sleep problems – working with mental health professionals, coaching, psychotherapy.
