Communication skills in restaurant environment


We can not to communicate. Even while we are silent, we communicate with body position, gaze, facial expressions ((). If our beliefs, values ​​do not match the values ​​and beliefs of the other person, or if we do not meet the expectations of the other person – there is a possibility of conflict.

The participants of the two-day training of the prestigious Croatian hotel group – Adriatic Luxury Hotels (ALH) realized how important communication skills are, especially during communication with guests, and how much skills can be honed and polished.

Before we dived into real-life examples from practice and analysis of what we can do better, we took a step back and learned how each of us communicates based on our acquired experiences, beliefs, and values. If it is important to us and we want to be even better in what we do, then we will both easily and with an open mind adopt new skills and make corrections where there is space.

An important factor in acquiring knowledge is humor and a good ‘working temperature’ that was in the right amount during training.
