If one of the links breaks, the chain will be broken and will not serve the purpose for which we use it. Internal communication means communication between people within an organization, including communication between senior and middle management, between management and employees, and communication between employees. An effective organization is made up of individuals and teams, each contributing their specific skills, knowledge, experience and collaboration to meet the needs of their clients &#8211; those outside the organization who often use and pay for their products and services.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">What are the obstacles to effective internal communication?<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Assumptions instead of facts<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Context<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Relationships between the two parties (using status or power to get what one want)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Influence of emotions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Too much\/too little information<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Distortion of the information obtained<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">How can internal communication be improved?<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Using the formula of assertive communication<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201eI-message\u201c + appeal\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">(specific proposal, request, claim):\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<\/ol><ol>\n<li class=\"ql-indent-1\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When you\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">(<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">a description of the other person\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><\/em><strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">specific behaviour<\/span><\/em><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ql-indent-1\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">I feel\/experience\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">(my\u00a0<\/span><\/em><strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">emotions<\/span><\/em><\/strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, if appropriate)\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li class=\"ql-indent-1\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">because\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">(why the other person&#8217;s behaviour is a problem, what consequences it causes us)\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li class=\"ql-indent-1\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and I would like\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">(what I want to\u00a0<\/span><\/em><strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">happen<\/span><\/em><\/strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">)\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>2. Using \u201eI-messages\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;I-messages&#8221; are messages in which we emphasize our feelings, instead of the mistake of the other person (interlocutor). By using &#8220;I-messages&#8221; we send a message that we want to solve the problem successfully so that both parties are satisfied, while &#8220;we-messages&#8221; and &#8220;you-messages&#8221; sound like an attack on the interlocutor. Also, the &#8220;I-messages&#8221; arouse a desire for cooperation, instead of resistance and defence of the interlocutor.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/anglo-adria.com\/en\/workshop\/internal-communication\/\">Internal Communication\u00a0<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Communication can be described as a chain composed of links.
