Who is the workshop intended for?

The training program “Media Training for Management” is intended for middle and upper management.

Training objectives

In a time where the media are often able to tailor the fate of the company, it is important to know the way it works. From the very basics of giving statement in the public, towards the knowledge of how news is created and what are the possibilities of positioning the company in the media - it all becomes part of the general culture of modern management. First-hand information and practical exercises will make you a more convincing speaker. Do not let the media find you unprepared and make the media world your allies.Participants will practice how to skillfully communicate with journalists of print and electronic media, what are basic rules of public speaking, how to deal with anxiety and what are the possibilities of positioning the company in the media.

  • nonverbal communication
  • how to overcome stage fright
  • how to manage the “awkward” situation
  • how to structure the content of media statements (prepared written statement, record statement in front of television cameras and proof-viewing material)
  • understanding the ways in which some of the Croatian media report and what may become “news”
  • knowledge of basic journalistic forms
  • how to interact with reporters and editors, and why is it important
  • what are the possibilities of positioning the company and its management in the public?
